Institute of Cell Therapy
Historical website work for the Institute of Cell Therapy, presenting its clinic, Cryobank and research expertise through a structured and credible medical experience.

Overview
The Institute of Cell Therapy is a Ukrainian medical and research organization whose ecosystem combines a specialized clinic, biological-material banking and scientific work in cell technologies. Communicating such an organization online requires more than listing services: patients need a clear path through subjects that are medically complex, personally significant and often unfamiliar.
DigitalTouch contributed to the Institute’s historical public website and digital presence. The project focused on translating the organization’s clinical and scientific structure into an accessible, credible and responsive web experience.
The domain associated with the historical project, stemcellclinic.com.ua, is no longer publicly available. The clinic currently operates its public website at stemcellclinic.com.
One institution with several interconnected areas
The Institute’s proposition brings together functions that are often presented separately. The clinical direction works with patients, the Cryobank handles biological materials and storage, and the research center communicates scientific expertise and development activity.
For visitors, these relationships are not automatically clear. A patient researching a consultation has different questions from parents exploring cord blood banking, a physician reviewing specialist expertise or an international visitor evaluating the institution.
The information architecture needed to provide distinct entry points while showing how the areas form one organization:
- the Cell Therapy Clinic and patient programs;
- doctors and medical specialists;
- the Cryobank and biological-material services;
- research and laboratory expertise;
- institutional history and credentials;
- consultation and contact pathways.
This structure allows each audience to reach relevant information without losing the context and credibility of the wider Institute.
Making advanced medicine approachable
Cell therapy, cryopreservation and regenerative medicine involve terminology that many patients encounter only when facing a serious health decision. The website had to reduce the barrier to understanding without reducing medical complexity to simplistic promises.
Clear headings, carefully separated topics and progressive levels of detail help visitors begin with an overview and move deeper when necessary. A service page can introduce the purpose of a program, explain its general process and direct the visitor toward professional consultation without attempting to provide an online diagnosis.
The goal of medical UX in this context is not to make every visitor feel like a specialist. It is to help them understand what the organization does, which questions they should ask and where qualified human guidance begins.
Trust requires evidence and restraint
Websites discussing advanced biomedical technologies need an especially disciplined tone. Scientific language can demonstrate depth, but it can also become inaccessible; emotional marketing can attract attention, but it risks undermining credibility.
The public experience needed to balance several forms of trust:
- the qualifications and experience of specialists;
- the Institute’s clinical and research structure;
- information about facilities and laboratory capabilities;
- licenses, standards and institutional history;
- transparent contact and consultation routes;
- responsible language around potential treatment outcomes.
DigitalTouch’s role was to create the framework in which this information could be presented clearly. The medical statements themselves belong to the Institute and require clinical interpretation.
Specialists as the human face of the institution
For patients, institutional expertise becomes tangible through individual doctors and scientists. Specialist profiles help visitors understand professional backgrounds, medical directions and the people involved in a potential care journey.
The website needed to organize substantial biographies and qualifications without turning profiles into dense walls of text. Consistent information patterns made it easier to compare specialties, review experience and connect a specialist with the relevant clinical direction.
This human layer is particularly valuable when an organization is known for laboratory and research infrastructure. It reminds visitors that scientific capability is delivered through multidisciplinary teams and personal clinical relationships.
Communicating the Cryobank responsibly
Biological-material banking introduces a different decision journey from treatment research. Visitors may need to understand what can be stored, how collection and processing are organized, what long-term storage means and which questions require specialist consultation.
The content system had to give the Cryobank its own clear space while preserving its relationship with the Institute. Process-oriented presentation helps people move from a broad concept toward practical information in manageable steps.
Because these services involve long-term decisions and sensitive biological material, clarity around procedures, responsibility and contact channels is fundamental to trust.
Supporting international patients
Specialized medical organizations can attract visitors from outside Ukraine. International patients need more than a translated service list: they need consistent navigation, contact information, specialist context and an understandable route from initial enquiry to consultation.
Multilingual structures must accommodate different text lengths and terminology without creating weaker secondary versions. Responsive layouts are equally important because an international visitor may first encounter the Institute through a phone, referral message or search result.
The web experience therefore needed to preserve its hierarchy and calls to action across languages, devices and levels of medical familiarity.
A maintainable publishing foundation
The historical website used WordPress with PHP and MySQL. This provided a practical foundation for managing service pages, specialist profiles, institutional information and educational content within a large medical website.
Apache supported the recorded hosting environment. HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery formed the presentation layer, and SendGrid was part of the documented communication stack.
Reusable page patterns were important because the organization contained several content-heavy areas. A structured CMS allowed information to evolve while preserving visual and navigational consistency across the clinic, Cryobank and research sections.
DigitalTouch’s confirmed role
DigitalTouch’s historical portfolio confirms delivery of public website and digital presence work for the Institute of Cell Therapy. The contribution centered on organizing and presenting the institution online through a credible patient-facing experience.
DigitalTouch is not claiming development of the Institute’s medical procedures, cell preparations, laboratory equipment, biological storage technology, research platforms, patient records or clinical decision systems. Those capabilities belong to the Institute and its medical and scientific teams.
The verified digital contribution covered the communication layer: information architecture, web presentation, responsive access, content patterns and pathways connecting prospective patients with the institution.
Institute of Cell Therapy today
The Institute continues to present an ecosystem involving a clinic, Cryobank and research activities. Its current services, evidence, regulatory status and medical statements may have evolved since DigitalTouch’s historical engagement and should be assessed through current official information and professional consultation.

The challenge
The Institute needed to explain a complex organization combining clinical care, biological-material banking and scientific research. The website had to make specialist information accessible to patients while preserving medical precision, institutional credibility and clear boundaries around treatment claims.
What DigitalTouch built
DigitalTouch contributed to the Institute of Cell Therapy’s historical public website and digital presence. The work focused on structuring patient-facing information about the clinic, specialists, programs and institutional areas. It did not include the Institute’s clinical protocols, laboratory technology, Cryobank operations or research systems.
Technical approach
The recorded implementation used WordPress with PHP and MySQL on Apache. HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery supported the responsive interface, while SendGrid formed part of the recorded communication stack. These technologies describe the public website rather than medical or laboratory infrastructure.
